IOMC Strategy for Strengthening National Chemicals Management Capacities
1 March 2011
| Technical document
Overview
The IOMC strategy was developed as a contribution to the second session of the International Conference on Chemicals Management (ICCM2) in May 2009. Periodic updates are expected. The objective of the IOMC strategy is to assist countries in strengthening their national chemicals management capacities in order to effectively implement SAICM and achieve the 2020 goal for sound chemicals management. The strategy benefits individuals (e.g. resource users, owners, consumers, community and political leaders, private and public-sector managers and experts), institutions, and national organizations.
